UI/UX Design

A recent graduate of the UI/UX Design Bootcamp with the University of Texas at Austin, I am ready to use my knowledge. Whether it’s for games, providing clear and intuitive information for players; or for apps. My passion is for games, my training is for less entertaining applications. I’m very flexible!

This is a video recorded for my class at the University of Texas at Austin, demonstrating one of our prototypes for a group project.

Lyra UI Mock-Up (Unreal Engine 5 test game)

With the release of Unreal Engine 5, I got the chance to mess around with both it and Lyra, the built-in test game free on their web store. While it comes with it’s own UI, I turned it off and made my own, creating my own take on communicating the same elements as the built-in UI.

The Ammo Count/Gun Selection, Dash Icon (with visible cooldown), health meter, Score Counters and Timer all exist in the base game. These are my take on the same idea.

Street Fighter 6 UI Fan Mock-up

As of May of 2022, we know nothing of the upcoming Street Fighter 6 other than 3 things. The logo, and that Ryu and Luke will be big players. The logo felt very MMA to me. Very modern fighting, very TapOut. I decided to channel those influences into my own take on what that sort of UI might look like, in terms of basic composition and color.

The spray-paint grunge look, the common colors of these brands (they love their reds, blacks, and accent yellows), and the personal 1v1 nature of these fights’ marketing were key inspirations. I made the headshots for Ryu and Luke get real close, just like in any poster hyping up an upcoming fight.
