Narrative Design

Games as a storytelling medium is one of the things that keeps me coming back time and time again. Everything from scripting story sequences to storyboarding to writing dialogue. I can handle all layers of the process!

TCGenie - Game Jam Project

I was responsible for writing about 80 of the 100 or so cards in TCGenie. The game is a parody of all sorts of card types, primarily Trading Card Games, but we covered things like the Tarot as well. It was a fun experience writing complete jokes with just an image, a title, and a single sentence. Great experience, and I’m proud of the jokes I wrote. You can find some examples down below!

Project Aether: First Contact (Steam/Switch)

I was hired on to Project Aether by Sleepy Spider Studios to assist with bringing professional voice talent in. I consulted in the casting, and ended up working as a director and sound mixer for the game. This involved putting in directorial notes in the game’s dialogue and acting as editor to the director, and going over the submitted audio.

It was a great experience, and all the actors I worked with were a delight to work with. Here is a commentary-less gameplay video, where the tutorial features a high amount of dialogue.
